Robert J. Peterson, age 79, a lifelong resident of Chicago, U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, and retired Chicago Police Officer, passed away on August 23, 2022. Beloved husband of Jean, nee Hagen. Loving father of John (Deborah) Peterson and Jennifer (Michael) Boyle. Cherished grandfather of Sydney, Liam, Cormac, and Declan. Many loving nieces and nephews. Robert was very proud of his 29 year career with the Chicago Police Department and continued his career as a 911 dispatch trainer for the City of Chicago and the University of Chicago for 20 years. He was very dedicated, hardworking, and honest.
Visitation Saturday August 27 from 9 AM until 12 Noon at Blake - Lamb Funeral Home 4727 W. 103rd. St., Oak Lawn. Graveside service and interment will take place Saturday 12:30 pm at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th. St., Alsip.
