Born on June 20, 1940 in Lian, Batangas, Philippines, Roberto was the beloved son of the late Rufo Limon, Sr. and the late Leonila Villadolid, and the eldest of six siblings. A graduate of Far Eastern University, Obette was a successful and caring physician. He enjoyed playing basketball and tennis and later followed sports passionately through radio.
Obette adored his family, especially his wife of 54 years. He took great joy in showering her with his love. He instilled a strong Catholic faith in his children and encouraged them to work hard and pursue higher education. Being a grandfather was one of Lolo O’s greatest pride and joy. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He was their biggest fan, always treating them to their favorite restaurants, and enjoyed distributing tokens at Chuck E. Cheese.
Roberto is survived by his loving wife, Terencia Z. Limon; his four children, Rizza (Norman) Villacorte, Julie (Michael) David, Karen (James) Lust, and John (Jilienne) Limon; his thirteen grandchildren, Nicholas (23), Colin (22), Asher (21), Noah (19), Sean (18), Jonas (16), Charles (16), Evelyn (13), Amelia (11), Kira (11), Aliya (11), Juliet (9), and Luca (3); his five siblings, Ruby (Edgar), Ester (Michael), Rufo Jr. (Marlyn), Tessie (the late Nandy), and Renato (Grace); and his cherished nieces and nephews.
Obette was deeply loved and will be missed tremendously. He will always be remembered for his boisterous laugh, joking personality and a smile that could light up the room.
