Mr. Kaminski, I will miss you forever. You're as if were my grandpa I talked to you everyday at school; I'm glad you get to meet my mom. As myself, my mom recently passed too. I hope you and my mom would meet again in another place.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Kaminski.  Although I haven't taught at Juarez for five years now, I will never forget his jokes and his heart of gold.  I extend my deepest sympathies to his family.

Teresa, we never met, but Russ was my roommate at Bradley for 3 years and stood up to our wedding in 1968. At that time my last name was Kasprzyk. Bonnie and I live in Scottsdale, AZ now and have not seen Russ since early 1970. Relocations to Canada and Europe separated us. Something was telling me to look up Russ on the web today (December 27, 2012) and I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Russ was a great man and I am sorry that we did not stay in touch. Our deepest sympathy!

Mr.  Kaminski was my W.E.C.E.P teacher in 2001. I remembered all his jokes. He was always happy.  He gave me adviced on my personal problems which I'm very thankful because it helped me a lot. RIP Mr.Kaminski I'm sure you will be missed by all your students.

Hi Everyone, I'm Mr. Kaminski's Son Raymond. The entire family including myself is loving to hear these stories about my Dad. These memories are what allow us to remember him and the legacy he left. Mr. Kaminski had a heart of gold under that gruff exterior.  I'll miss his jokes and levity.  It was a pleasure to work with him at Juarez.

Wonderful colleague who taught me many things. His humor will be missed.

My deepest condolences to his family. I will forever remember Mr. Kaminski as one of my three favorite TEACHERS in the whole school...I owed him a lot of detentions and he was so cool that he just signed off on the slips...he did tell me that I broke some kind of record (this was back in 1988). Now that I too am a detention teacher, now I know what he experience with students as myself...and yet , he was always good and respected everyone. REST IN PEACE MR.KAMINSKI!!

Mr. Kaminski's memory will be carried through the halls of Benito Juarez High School and all the students that crossed his path. Mr. Kaminski extended a lending hand to everyone and shared laughter through stories and jokes. It was and will always be an honor to have known him. The Lord has called upon a great man. May his lovely wife, children and family find comfort and strength through these trying times.

My biggest condolences to all of his family.He is in a better place looking after all of us. The man who took me to the right path, the one who recommended me to the Chicago Police and Firefighter Training Academy, the one who,with all of this caring,made me see life in a better viewpoint, the man who was there for everybody, who,no matter the situation,he always put that smile in their faces, that man is now gone, but will always live in my heart. I remember, whenever he saw me in the hallways, he would scream out my name "I-sabel", he saved me once a chocolate bar, how he would always talk about his dog Sasha, how he would say in class he using his hat to collect money for my ripped jeans,fun times; we had the same boss, him with his work and I was a cadet in a program. I think he was teacher of my father and brother during his Juarez years. Juarez will never be the same without him. I will miss him so much. I'll see you so some time Mr. Kaminski.

My candle will never stop shynning because Mr.Kaminski will always be there, helping me on my decisions like he always did. Like my last words I told him I will tell him now, Thank You Mr. Kaminski.. With one of his big hugs like always.

I am saddened by the loss of my good friend Russ. He had a keen eye for recognizing what was important and what to ignore. I sggest that from this day on 'La Tienda' should be the Kaminski Tienda. Rest in peace, my brother.

A great person, wonderful man, that kept me in line. Push me to do my best and alwas told me herrera your business skills are almost as good as mine. You start your company dont forget to throw me a bone. Im the third child in my family to have met this hard working men a great mentor for me. He will be miss by many. When you think of Benito Juarez High School Mr. Kaminski automatically comes to mind....For he was Benito Juarez...He was a GREAT mentor teacher and friend..He was never afraid to put his heart out for the students...He always knew how to make everyones's day by his witty sense of humor..Words cannot begin to express the amount of pain your family BJHS staff and alum have to deal with during this diffcult time..Mr. kaminski maybe gone but he will not be forgotten his spirit and smile will forever be imprinted in the minds and hearts he touched over the years and his soul will FOREVER remain through the halls of BJHS..See you on the other side Mr. Kaminski MAY U REST IN ETERNAL PEACE N PARADISE<3<3

I will always remember his quirkiness which made me laugh. His uniqueness is what set him aside from the rest of the Juarez teachers. my husband and I had the honor of knowing Mr. Kaminski from Benito Juarez. He always made us smile and kept us humble. Our prayers and sympathy to your family.

My Uncle Russ is such a great man.  He was always there for his family and loved each of us unconditionally.  I am going to miss him more than words can say.  I'll never forget the nickname he had for me....the memorable times we had and how he loved his great niece and nephew so much.  He treated us all like he would his kids.

My Family and I are truly saddened to by the loss of Mr. Kaminski; words cannot express the impact he had on the students at Benito Juarez. I am grateful that I have funny memories of him as well as remembering his kindness when he would ask how my mom was doing every time he seen me walking down the hall. He taught my Aunt, cousins, brother and sister. Mr. Kaminski was and will always be an institution at Benito Juarez HS.  My Prayers are with his family.
