Stephen McAllister

Stephen R. McAllister Jr., age 28, passed away at his parents’ home on August 25th 2021 surrounded by his family and friends. Stephen is survived by his parents, Stephen R. McAllister Sr. and Mary Jo nee Logsdon. He was predeceased by his brother Daniel J. McAllister and his grandparents, Joseph and Margaret nee Hallstein Logsdon and Richard F. and Joan nee May McAllister.

Steve fought a short yet brutal battle against cancer, showing not only bravery but compassion towards his loved ones by making sure the tough decisions were made. Even in his last days he demonstrated the humor and wit he was known for, and he left this world knowing he was truly loved.

Steve was lifelong south-sider, a member of Local 399 Operating Engineers, and a graduate of St. Rita High School. He was an avid White Sox fan who worked hard and played hard. He was a loving son, nephew, cousin, Godfather, and friend who will be missed.

A visitation for Stephen will be held Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 30, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow Monday, August 30th at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, 3701 W. 87th St., Evergreen Park, IL 60805.
