Waverly B. Clanton, beloved father and devoted physician known to those who loved him as "Chip", passed away on September 6, 2025, in Oak Lawn, Illinois, at the age of 68. Born August 30, 1957 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of Waverly B. Clanton Jr. Esq. and Carrie A. Clanton. Dr. Clanton earned his medical degree from Howard University in Washington D.C. and dedicated more than 40 years to practicing medicine on the south side of Chicago. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and dear friend. Chip is lovingly remembered by his son Justin (Gabbie), daughter Shawnisty, son Kyle, and grandson Elijah. He is survived by his brother David (Pamela) and niece Camryn. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation will be held for Dr. Clanton on Saturday, October 25, 2025 family and friends gathering from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, IL. A private Memorial service and Interment private.
