I'm a late in saying sorry to the family for losing their Dad. We at SPPS in 1958 to 1962 knew as Coach. I was a member of the 1959 basketball team probably ONE OF THE TEAMS WE EVER HAD, AND IT WAS ALL DUE TO Coach Kellog. I was thinking of Coach and I was saddened to see the obit..

Willie was a classmate of mine at Fenwick High School and a coaching buddy in the Catholic League. Will always remember his sense of humor & his infectious laugh that would always brighten a room. Rest in peace my friend knowing that your memory will& influence will be carried in the minds & hearts of not only your treasured family but the many students you coached & taught in your long & illustrious career.

Will married his trophy wife Marvous first, so their reuniting in heaven shortly after a brief separation is just that - heaven. My condolences go out to a family that knows Will always put them first. A mighty good man.

Willie was my roommate at St. Joe's in 1955.  We then were both assigned to the same Marine Corps base.  We have many fond memories of both Willie and Marv.  What a loving and wonderful couple they were.  May they rest in peace together.

I see a number of references to coaching and teaching in previous entries, and deservedly so. However, my fondest memories of Coach and Mrs. Kellogg took place in their home, which always seemed to be open to everyone. We might find ourselves sitting around the dining table watching the TV with Coach. You could count on that HUGE laugh every once in a while as the stories spun. Even when we were away in the basement dribbling basketballs and goofing off, the welcome mat was out. (As well, it was one of the few basements in which you could dribble a ball and never get in trouble.) I'm not sure I can recall a single basketball memory with any clarity these days, but I can certainly remember great days at 9604. My best thoughts go out to all the Kelloggs that their grief might fade quickly, and their memories of Coach soon flourish.

RIP coach Kellogg. I so much enjoyed playing basketball for you at Brother Rice HS. God Bless you're entire family during this time of sorrow. I know you will be missed my all.

I enjoyed working on the staff at Brother Rice with Will (and also having him as my P.E. teacher). A gentle spirit with a great laugh! A real Christian gentleman. May the angels welcome him into paradise!

I remember that Will played on the Junior basketball team, but I seem to remember that our Senior team got into the Catholic League finals and the coach (was that coach Norris? - I don't have my year books anymore) brought him into the championship game because he was so good.
It looked like he had a great career!

Great memories of our days at Fenwick H S. Willy was one of the finest point guards of his time..a City Champion 1951.  My sympathy to the family on this loss.

Our condolences to your entire family. It's difficult losing one parent, but to lose both is almost unbearable.  We hope you take peace knowing they're together again. The Kellogg's were always one of our favorite Holy Redeemer families.  You all made Terry's time there a wonderful experience.

Many, many things you taught me about this wonderful profession,  I used for my entire 42 years as teacher and coach.  You were a giant of a man for so many people.  Well done, my friend.
