asleep in death on Feb. 15, 2015 at 90 years of age.
Armando was called by the endearing nickname “Daddylo.” He is survived by his beloved
wife of 71 years, Luciana, their seven children, Armando Jr., Aida, Belen, Edgardo, Romeo,
Naomi, and Sarah, as well as 18 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren.
Despite the difficult times and a period of war, Daddylo always proved to be a caring husband
and father. He was a very hard worker. Initially, he worked as a mechanic and then showed
his industriousness by acquiring a jeepney business and apartment buildings. As a result, he
provided for the needs of his large family.
His greatest accomplishment was being a loyal servant of our heavenly Father, Jehovah God.
He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the 1950’s. He cherished his relationship
with God and proudly imparted a spiritual heritage to his children, grandchildren, and
greatgrandchildren. In his later years, he was also able to serve as a full time evangelizer for
seven years sharing his hope with others in the community.
In 1979, Daddylo moved from the Philippines to the United States but he worked hard to keep
his family together. In fact, although he had moved, he spent a considerable time staying with
family in the Philippines and Australia.
Daddylo was known for his mild and generous spirit, constant smile and contagious laugh.
Even though he will be missed by his family and friends, we look forward to the Bible’s
promise that the dead in God’s memory will awake from their long “sleep.” (Revelation
20:13).
