June 24, 1930 – April 13, 2026
Arthur Allen Brown passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, at his cherished beachfront home in Carlsbad, California, overlooking the Pacific Ocean he loved so deeply. After months apart, Arthur is reunited with “his girl,” Alice — the love of his life and partner of seventy-eight remarkable years.
Born in Los Angeles in 1930, Arthur left school at fifteen to join the Merchant Marines, where he developed the skills, determination, and work ethic that shaped his life. After many jobs — including coffee salesman and gas station manager — Arthur eventually found his calling in plumbing. Following the early partnership of Brown & Snyder Plumbing, he founded Arthur A. Brown Plumbing Company in 1966, building one of North County’s most respected plumbing businesses.
Arthur helped shape the infrastructure of Southern California while also building something even greater: a family and a home filled with belonging, stories, laughter, and love.
Known for his cigars, Padres baseball, endless stories, and steadfast work ethic, Arthur never stopped building, fixing, or showing up for those he loved.
His favorite motto says it best:
Don’t Quit
Arthur Alan Brown’s final resting place will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, with burial on May 22, 2026.
