Carol was born on March 12, 1959 in Los Angeles to Robert and Miyuki Nishimura. Carol received a degree in Business Administration from Cal State Dominguez Hills and went on to work for Western international Media as an advertising specialist. Later she became a stay at home mom.
Carol was a deeply devoted mother to her son Curtis who has autism.
Carol touched many lives. She was thoughtful, generous, and a loyal friend.
Carol had a great smile, strong will and an inspirational determination to beat her cancer. She helped encourage many other women who were battling alongside her. She will never be forgotten.
Carol was preceded in death by her father Robert Nishimura. She is survived by her husband, Jon; son, Curtis of Carlsbad; mother, Miyuki Nishimura; brother, Scott Nishimura and wife Terri of Torrance; sister, Barbara Nishimura and husband, Earl of Las Vegas; in-laws, Joni and Jim Nakaso; Lori and Wendell Hamamoto; Winn and Cathy Ukegawa; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on February 18, at Grace Church North County, 1602 S. El Camino Real, Oceanside. Burial will be graveside at 11:30 a.m. February 20, at Eternal Hills Cemetery, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside.
