Casper Mark Howard passed away on March 15, 2024 in Encinitas, California. Known as Mark, he was born the third of six children on November 2, 1941 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Isaac Maxen and Virginia Howard.
Mark served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves before embarking on a 37 year career as a secondary educator. Mark received a Master’s in Teaching from Notre Dame, and held a degree in the Science of Film from USC. He spent the majority of his teaching years at Fallbrook High School where he also coached diving and gymnastics.
Mark is survived by his daughter Larissa; siblings Nancy Donaghue, Harriet Stephens, Mary Briggs, Kevin (Bobbie) Howard, and Christine (Lu) Howard-Hernandez; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday April 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM, at Eternal Hills Mortuary Chapel, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054, with the committal to follow the service. There will be a reception to follow the burial at Eternal Hills Mortuary.
