It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charles (Chuck) Knox, who departed this life on May 11, 2025. He was 93 years old. Chuck was born in Rhode Island in 1931 to John and Esther. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
Chuck was a chemical engineer (specializing in chemical composites, for which he held a few patents) and college professor who dedicated his life to genealogy, building miniature furniture (which he started for his daughters), wood sculpture, gardening, and photography. He had a passion for baking, traveling with his family and participating in a local community college’s old-time radio show class as a performer and a foley artist (person who provided sound effects). He will be remembered for his sense of humor, creativity, DIY handyman skills, loyalty to and support of his family and his devotion to, love and care for his wife. He touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A memorial service to celebrate Chuck's life will be held at Eternal Hills on June 12, 2025 at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rancho Coastal Humane Society, where some of his favorite pet cats came from, in Chuck’s memory.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their support and condolences during this difficult time.
