the presence of her family on May 1st, 2018.
She was born in Osaka, Japan to Matsutaro and Kimi Matsuda on November 11th, 1932. After WWII, she met and married her husband, Joe Suarez in Fukuoka, Japan and moved to the United States to raise her four children. Chizuko was the heart of her family and was loved deeply by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Known as “Hama” to her grandchildren, she always had time for family, cooking traditional Japanese dishes with great pleasure. No Thanksgiving dinner was complete without her Wontons. Though cooking was one of her strongest skills, it was her incredible knowledge of Sumo Wrestling where she remains unmatched by any in her family. Ever the altruist, Chizuko would not think twice to help those
around her and opened her heart and her home to help care for all. This, of course, included her grandchildren who have all spent countless days running around her house. She taught 3 generations what it means to be a good person and though she will be deeply missed, those who knew her will always have the best memories of her and because of her.
Preceded in death by her husband, Joe Suarez and survived by her four children: Robert Suarez(Glory) of Alpine, Barbara Carvajal(Jorge) of Oceanside, Carol Suarez(Drue) of Mission Viejo, John Suarez(Maggie) of Oceanside, 15 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild.
