December 15, 1945- April 2, 2017
Dawn M. Cravens was born in Akron, Ohio to Ralph and Dorothy Miller. She attended Baldwin-Wallace College, class of 1967. She was an Alpha Xi Delta sister and earned her degree in Sociology/Math. In 1968 she was married in Omaha Nebraska to Robert Cravens.
Throughout her life she enjoyed volunteering for several different organizations. Among her many talents she was President of the Auxiliary at Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora CA (2005-2006), where she resided for the past 24 years. But her heart was always in San Diego, where she and her husband raised their two children for 17 years. Dawn’s talents for word programing, tutoring children in math, preparing taxes, bookkeeping, sales and retail, as well as volunteering lead to her touching the lives of so many.
So in loving memory of a beautiful mother and wife, Dawn is survived by her husband of 49 years Robert “Bob” Cravens and her children Alan Cravens and Robin Cravens. She also leaves behind numerous friends, cousins, sister in-laws, nieces, nephews and their children whom she loved as “adopted” loved ones.
A memorial will take place May 5, 2017@ 1 p.m. at Eternal Hills Memorial Park- 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside CA 92054. The family is gladly accepting flowers.
