Dawn Elaine Temena-Donnell, age 49, of San Marcos, California lost her battle against breast cancer on Friday February 14, 2020. Dawn was born on February 28,1970 in Manila, Philippines. She was the beloved wife of Jay Donnell and mother of Skai Temena-Donnell. She is survived by mother Norma Espina, step-mother Cora Alamillo, brothers Erwin Temena, Eric Temena, Ellery Alamillo and many nieces and nephews.
Dawn graduated from University of San Tomas with a degrees in architecture and interior design. She was licensed in the Philippines and worked for many years before coming to America, where she met her husband Jay. With their son, they lived in Chicago, IL, Pueblo, CO and settled in San Marcos, California. After her diagnosis in 2016, she battled courageously while never complaining. Dawn's favorite hobbies were traveling and watching her son play football.
A Funeral Mass for Dawn will be held Thursday, February 27, 2020 at St Mark Catholic Church, 1147 W Discovery St, San Marcos, California, Rosary at 1:30 PM followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life for Dawn will be held on Friday, February 28th at 6:00 pm at El Camino Country Club, 3202 Vista Way, Oceanside, CA 92056. The attire is "workday causal" No black or red attire is preferred.
