Dolores “Debbie” Valverde, 70, of Oceanside, California, passed away April 18, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Henry and Elizabeth Helms on August 11, 1952 in Los Angeles, California. Debbie graduated from Oceanside High School in 1971.
She was married to Henry Valverde in 1973, and they lived together for 50 years in Oceanside, California. Debbie is survived by her three children: Pedro Valverde, Rachel Del Rio, and Henry M. Valverde; sister Janice Maneval; a host of nieces and nephews; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Debbie volunteered at the Oceanside Hospital as a teenager and with her caring bedside manner, she pursued a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her love for babies and children landed her a dream job at Rady’s Children’s Hospital for over 15 years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Debbie was always proud of her family and leaves with them a lifetime of beautiful memories.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at Eternal Hills in Oceanside, CA. The burial will take place at Eternal Hills Cemetery directly after the services.
