Donald Paul Vitulli peacefully passed away on December 16th, 2023. Don was born in Mola di Bari, Italy on March 3rd, 1930. Don was the beloved husband of Frances Vitulli (nee Lepore) for 70 years, a devoted father to Joanne (Steve) Menzies, Patti (Chris) Mason, and Joseph. He was a loving grandfather to James (Rose), Katherine, Christine (Jermul), Marisa, Amy and Donald. Dear brother of the late Vito (late Virginia), the late Thomas (Marie), the late Angelo (late Lucrezia), John (late Carol), Grace (Tony) Sgaramella. He was a dear uncle and great- uncle to many nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his grandson Stephen Donald Menzies.
Don moved to the U.S. at the age of 6. Don and Frances married in 1954, making Bensenville, IL their home in 1958, where they raised their children. Don and Frances retired to Vista, CA in 1984. As an avid Chicago sports fan, he witnessed multiple Chicago team championships, culminating with his beloved Chicago Cubs winning the World Series in 2016. He loved following the stock market, gardening and would fix anything that was broken. His love for his family, his kindness toward all, and his warm smile will forever live in our hearts.
