

Edsel David Hallock lived 87 wonderful years. Edsel preferred his middle name and went by David to all who knew him. David enjoyed his independent life, living his final years at Redwood Terrace in Escondido, California. He passed away peacefully on January 2, 2015 at Redwood Terrace while under their loving care for complications after a stroke.
David was born in Oxford, New York on February 4, 1927. He was one of seven children born to Clyde and Cora Hallock. David was in the Army-Air Force during World War II and was stationed in the Kwajalein Atoll. While in the military, David worked on aircraft and aircraft engines. During his service he was awarded the American Defense Ribbon, Asiatic Theater Ribbon, and the Victory Medal.
David attended college and worked as an administrator for LA Community College. He retired early and started a new career or “hobby” fixing up and selling housing units. He spent much time traveling both in Europe and in Central America. David also loved to follow the stock market, researching and investing in various companies over the years.
David is survived by his seven nieces and seven nephews who live throughout the United States. David was predeceased by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, two nephews and one niece.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at Eternal Hills, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California on January 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.
