Helen was born on January 28th,1920, to the late George and Thelma Alvis in Albuquerque, NM. She graduated from Raton High School in 1937. She married her loving husband, Arnold Rigdon in 1938. Helen was a homemaker for the first half of her marriage. Raising her children and giving guidance and love to a multiple number of people, young and old, that were in and out of her life. She loved to travel, visit the animal parks, listen to the sound of the waves, crocheting, and baking. She later worked as a machine operator along side her husband at Paulson Manufacturing until the mid 80's.
Helen had six children George, Kenny, Fern, Lawson, Wilson, and Calvin. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Arnold after 63 years of marriage and also by three of her children, George, Lawson, and Calvin.
Helen is survived by Kenny and Gail Rigdon, Fern McMillan, Willie Rigdon, Vicki Rigdon, 13 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Helen will be laid to rest with her husband at Eternal Hills in Oceanside, CA.
A Memorial for will be held for family and friends at Eternal Hills Chapel, Oceanside, CA on Friday, January 24th at 1:00 p.m.
