
Ingrid Sabine Jurchen, affectionately known as Sabina, gracefully completed her journey of life on February 26th, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 16, 1935, in Berlin, Germany, to Werner and Erna Franke, Sabina's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, adventure, and resilience.
Sabina’s childhood was marked by the horrors of war as she and her family endured life in Berlin during World War II. On August 3, 1955. Sabina married Richard Achim Jurchen in Frankfurt, Germany and together, they embarked on the adventure that would define their lives as they immigrated to America, and eventually settled down in southern California to raise their two daughters and live out their lives.
Sabina was a woman of remarkable grace and style. With an innate flair for fashion and an appreciation for the finer things. As a child, her boundless energy and lively spirit earned her the endearing nickname "Biene" from her father, reflecting her perpetual busyness and infectious enthusiasm. Throughout her life, Sabina and Richard shared a love for travel and with every spare penny, they hit the road, discovering new landscapes and creating cherished memories along the way.
Sabina's greatest joy was found in her family. She adored her grandchildren, and great grandchildren and showered them with love, laughter, and unforgettable experiences. Sabina is survived by; daughters, Bianca Streif and Jacque Martin, grandchildren, Audri Bomar, Sean Sand, Crystal Staudinger, and Heidi Sand, seven great grandchildren and niece, Nina Laurenz, and nephew, Lutz Sartor.
A memorial of Sabina's life will be held on March 16, 10 a.m. at Eternal Hill 1999 El Camino Real Oceanside, CA where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and lay her body to rest. May the memory of her love and light be a blessing to all who knew her.
