Isabel Bernard

Isabel, a devoted wife, was preceded in death by her parents, Leoncio Sanchez and Luisa (Uela) Rodriguez, her husband of 64 years Pedro (Peyo) Bernard, siblings Teresa Sanchez, Rosa Sanchez, and Leoncio (Cuco) Sanchez.

Querida Hermana de Milagros (Mingro) Sanchez, Esperanza (Tita) Sanchez, y Maria Santiago, dedicated and beloved mother of 3, Aida Padilla (Juan), Pedro Luis Bernard, Gustavo Bernard (Judy), and treasured aunt to Diana Santiago (Adrian). Further loved and adored grandmother of 9, Juan Padilla, Andre Bernard, Gabriel Bernard, Lena Bernard, Teresa Bernard-Lopez, Monica Raabe, Gustavo (Little Gus) Bernard, Nicole Mendoza and loving "Nana '' to Nicholas Bernard. Isabel is a great-grandmother of 13, great-great-grandmother of 3. Isabel (Chavy) was loved and cherished by numerous nieces and nephews, she was the GREATEST great-aunt to Peter (Petie), Dominique, Adriana, and Destin.

Throughout Isabel's life, she was a dedicated animal lover, meticulously preparing countless meals (bone free) for her pets and local wildlife (cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, bugs, etc.., and two very special turtles Cesar and Doroteo.

Mom was my inspiration, to achieve whatever I wanted, to stay committed to marriage, family and loved ones, for better or worse (64 years), (Gus).

Chavy, cherished for eternity by siblings, children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, pets, wild animals and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 at 1:00pm, at the Eternal Hills Chapel, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054. Internment will immediately follow at 2:15pm at the Eternal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
