I’ve been trying to find the words to say since I heard of Jackie’s passing, and I still can’t find the right ones to truly express condolences. My heart aches for Maggie and all of Jackie’s family, friends, clients, and colleagues. Until recently, I oversaw the TERI CAL Program, where Jackie worked. Over the last 10 years, Jackie and I had built a unique friendship, and I respected her more than I could possibly express. She was the biggest advocate for our clients, and she stopped at nothing to ensure that they were cared for at the highest possible level. She would often stay well after her shift had ended to discuss things like the program and how we could continually improve it, and the clients and their progress. Those were the times in particular that I really got to know Jackie and how caring of a person she was. The loss of Jackie hurts immensely, but I am so grateful to have known her and worked beside her for so long. Rest easy now, Jackie. You will be missed by so many people whose lives you touched.

I am so blessed that I was privileged to know Jackie.  She became my co-worker about a year ago when I started to work at TERI as the Director of Adult Day Services. When her supervisor resigned a few months ago, I began to assist her with the day to day operations of her program. What a dedicated and hard working woman with a huge heart for each of the unique TERI CAL program participants. I spoke with the parents of the participants on that tragic day and a few shared stories of how Jackie often went over the expectations of the job and helped these families facing unrelenting behavioral challenges with having a  adult loved one impacted with developmental disabilities. It didn't take long to create a bond with Jackie and I am terribly sorry for your loss. I am sure her family is very proud of her and the legacy she leaves on the world.

Dear Jackie,  you were my rock. You understood me, made me feel safe , you were my person. I will miss you deeply and the adjustment to not having by my side everyday will be a long difficult process. But I promise to do my best as I know this is what you would want. I will be strong. I love you and my parents greatly appreciate all the compassion and love you have expressed for me all of these years. You and your family are in our hearts and Prayers for the rest of our lives. 

Note from Isaiah's mom -  if Isaiah could speak his thoughts and feeling this is what he would say. We cannot express how heartbroken we are. We love Jackie so much. Thank you jackie for all you did for our boy.

My condolences to the entire family. I am so sad to hear about Jackie’s passing. Those who knew Jackie knew she presented herself with a tough exterior and often appeared as very strong. But the thing that stands out to me the most about Jackie is her devotion to her family especially her mother Ellen and her wife Maggie.  Jackie really loved and protected her family. She made a concerted effort to be there for her family in all of the major milestones of their life. I truly admire how much she prioritized family. Her presence at family gatherings will truly be missed. May she rest in peace and be reunited with her beloved dogs in the afterlife.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Our heartfelt prayers are with you and we pray for God’s peace for your family.  Jackie was such a blessing to our family and our son, Josiah, who attends the CAL program. Jackie will be greatly missed.

Hello:  It was a privilege to work with Jackie throughout all the years she was at TERI.  Jackie worked in several programs I supervised over time and her dedication to, and love for, our clients was exceptional.  Few of us are able to do what we really love for a living, and I take comfort in knowing for a certainty that Jackie made a difference in the lives of the people she served.  This is a legacy that will never end for those individuals and their families.  I would like to express my deepest condolences to her wife, family, and friends.  Jackie will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

You will be dearly missed by so many.  Thank you for loving Margaret well for all these years.  You have been by her side during the hard days and the great days.  She is strong, but you were her strength.

So many memories but the ones that keep replaying in my mind are the years of her and Maggie having so much fun dragging me to Haunted Houses because I loved them but was so scared of them. One year we went to Las Vegas and Circus Circus had 5 Haunted Houses under their dome. Of course Jackie got such a kick out of telling the monsters to scare me when I wasn’t looking. I love you Jackie.

I am so very sorry to learn of Jackie's passing.  Although I have not seen the family in years, I still remember all with great fondness.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
