That's it. I'm out of here and into ever. But I did have fun. I had an exciting life that I wouldn't have exchanged for any other. I am a graduate of the California State University Maritime Academy, I was trained as a merchant mariner and went to sea, I was a naval officer, a naval aviator, an FAA certified commercial airline pilot, a former columnist for two newspapers, a craftsman, husband to Joan, and proud father of Julie — both of whom I loved deeply. I loved pasta, and a good cup of espresso. I have been a traveler who lived for six months on the Greek Island Syros, in the Aegean Sea writing poetry, six months in England, then several months in Italy and France. I’ve enjoyed our planet and some of its people.
I was a working member of the North County Writer's Bloc. “Rod Steele” is my second work of fiction. I have enjoyed at least 95% of my life. I wish you the same or better. Keep an open mind, experience much, and learn more. And have fun!
