Johnnie Christine Nesseth was born January 26, 1922 in McCaskill, Arkansas. She was one of five daughters born to Bill and Josie Ball. After graduating from Blevins High School she moved to Little Rock where she met the love of her life Lyle Nesseth at a USO dance. Following a long distance courtship they married July 21, 1944 in Oceanside, California.
The couple made their home in Los Angeles for the next 30 years. She was a skillful seamstress and wonderful cook. She enjoyed gardening and taking long walks with Lyle. Above all she loved everyone and opened her arms to nieces, nephews and neighborhood children.
In the 1970’s the couple relocated to Vista, CA. In those retirement years they enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and line dancing with the Western Steppers.
A Christian woman dedicated to serving and loving others, Johnnie was called home on December 20, 2015. She is survived by her sister, Clarice Abercrombie and numerous nieces and nephews.
