Joseph “Joe” Donald Conde passed away peacefully in Temecula Valley Hospital on November 25, 2018 in Temecula, CA at the age of 82. He was born February 13, 1936 in Camti, Louisiana, the son of Francis Harrison Conde and Gertrude Grace Maziere.
Joe enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1954 and was stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA where he met and married his wife of 60 years, Sandra Jien (Thorley) Conde. After 3 years in the Marine Corps and 35 years in Civil Service on Camp Pendleton, he retired as Base Reproduction Foreman and then enjoyed many years working as a “Jack of All Trades” maintaining properties for property management groups as well as his own properties.
Joe loved history and in his earlier days enjoyed reading all roadside monuments during his yearly and much-loved road trips with his family to visit his relatives in Texas. He had a wickedly dry sense of humor, that he passed on to his family as well, and he cherished time with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren during annual family gatherings in Mexico and the Colorado River. He was always willing to extend a helping hand and enjoyed going out dancing with his wife and friends, eating home cooking and was a very accomplished bowler.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his Sisters; Dorothy Andress & Betty Lingold, Brother; Weldon Morris, Children; Theresa Conde Simmons, Dana Conde & her partner George Parker, Donald Conde & his wife, Julie Adams Conde, Grandchildren; Aaron Simmons & his wife, Stephanie Nielsen, Amber Simmons Esquivel & her husband Roarke Esquivel, DJ Conde III, Pamela Conde & Cody Conde, Great Grandchildren; Joseph Simmons, Stella Esquivel, Saylor Esquivel & Mazlynn Esquivel.
