Joseph Corapi

February 23,1920 - April 26,2013

Joseph Corapi was born in Gasparina Italy on February 23, 1920. He spent many an hour playing and exploring barefoot by the sea. He and his mother moved to the United States in 1930 to join his father. They resided in Reading Pennsylvania and later moved to Philadelphia.

In 1943 the enrolled in Eastern Bible Institute where he later met Mary Rossi who he would marry upon graduating in 1947.

Joe worked in the retail clothing industry as a master tailor working over 30 years for Jacob Reeds Sons Stores. and also worked as interim Pastor at several churches. He dedicated many years as a layperson at his church, serving as a deacon and administrating the Sunday School. He spent the last 5 years as the primary caregiver to his beloved wife Mary.

He is survived by his wife Mary: Children, MaryAnn Calvanico and Ron Corapi. Sister Jessie Sottile: Brother Sam: Daughter-in-law: Kim Corapi : Grandchildren: John Calvanico and wife Angela, Shaun Meyers, Joe Corapi, and Sarah Corapi. Great Grandchildren: Leilah, Silas, and Micah Calvanico. Brother: Jessie Sottile and Sam Corapi.

He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grand Father and Great Grand Father, but most importantly a man of God. He will be missed beyond what words can express.

Memorial Service will be held at Vista Assembly of God on Friday May 3 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Elizabeth Hospice. 150 W Crest Street Escondido CA 92025
