Juan Lopez Gonzalez

Juan Lopez-Gonzalez, (65), of Oceanside, California, after a long battle with cancer passed away on October 24, 2023, surrounded by his wife and eldest son.

Juan, fondly known as Tata or Tio Juan, was born to Gabriela, on May 23, 1958, in Chiquilistlan, Jalisco. He arrived in Carlsbad, California at the age of 17, where he ultimately met his wife, Alicia. Juan was a hardworking and compassionate man who loved to help his friends and family. He devoted thirty-eight years of his life to his profession as a roofer, a job he was very proud of. He enjoyed spending his free time surrounded by his family and friends.

During the three-year battle with cancer, my father never lost his sense of humor even through the hardest days. He had an ability to make all those around him feel comfortable and welcomed in his home. His jokes and sense of humor will be missed dearly by all who were close to him. We will all remember him with his Gerardo Reyes songs playing and a Bud Light in hand, paired with his smile, and his beloved dark feathered hair.Juan is survived by his wife, Alicia and four children, Juan, Hector, Cristina, and Racquel. Their partners, Julie, Marcella, Josue, and Xavier. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ivan, Malia, Jolina, Angelica, Alicia, Julieta, Jr., Jacob, and Xaiel. And two brothers, Emilio and Vicente Beaz.

Juan’s family will host a viewing service on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. and burial service on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. The services will be at Eternal Hills in Oceanside. His family in his hometown of Chiquilistlan, Jalisco, will also be hosting a funeral service.

Juan, conocido cariñosamente como Tata o Tío Juan, nació de Gabriela, el 23 de mayo de 1958, en Chiquilistlan, Jalisco. Llegó a Carlsbad, California a los 17 años, donde finalmente conoció a su esposa, Alicia. Juan era un hombre trabajador y compasivo al que le encantaba ayudar a sus amigos y familiares. Dedicó treinta y ocho años de su vida a su profesión de techador, oficio del que se sentía muy orgulloso. Disfrutaba pasar su tiempo libre rodeado de su familia y amigos.

Tenía la capacidad de hacer que todos los que lo rodeaban se sintieran cómodos y bienvenidos en su hogar. Todos los que estuvieron cerca de él extrañaran muchísimo sus bromas y su sentido del humor. A Juan le sobreviven su esposa, Alicia y sus cuatro hijos, Juan, Héctor, Cristina y Racquel. Sus nueras y yernos, Julie, Marcella, Josue y Xavier. También le sobreviven sus nietos, Iván, Malia, Jolina, Angélica, Alicia, Julieta, Jr., Jacob y Xaiel. Y sus dos hermanos, Emilio y Vicente Beaz.

La familia de Juan ofrecerá un servicio de visualización el jueves 9 de noviembre de 2023 a las 5:00 p.m. y servicio de entierro el viernes 10 de noviembre de 2023 a las 10:00 a. m. Los servicios serán en Eternal Hills en Oceanside. Su familia en su ciudad natal de Chiquilistlán, Jalisco, también organizará un funeral.
