She was born Judith Dominga Coronel. Funny thing is she was not born on a Sunday, but on a Monday. And as a Monday's child she was indeed "fair of face", but her beauty did not stop there. Her warmth and kindness uplifted those around her and a loving smile illuminated every place she stood.
At the end of high school, her first love story began. Judy met and married Sonny Magante. They had five children. As a young mother and homemaker, her home was always inviting and cozy, often the center for family holiday parties. In time she became a single parent, but she did not waiver from giving her children her very best. When love found her again, she married Jim Damewood. Jim and Judy created a blended family of twelve children and a son-in-law. She enjoyed pouring love into her family.
Once again, Judy found herself needing to stand on her own. Her children now beginning their own lives, she decided to make a monumental pivot in her life. She relocated to San Francisco where she continued her career in Food & Beverage.
She blossomed into the prime of her life, enjoying every thing about living in "The City". Although she built many wonderful memories during those years, she eventually decided to move home. She began a new career as a Library Technician at Orange Glen High School where she saw many graduations before retiring.
During this past year, Judy was truly living her best life in a wonderful and lively senior community, where she had her sister, Maggie, and many friends as her neighbors. Her favorite past-time was playing Bingo, which she did nearly every day. And although she would say "Happiness is yelling Bingo!", there is no denying that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her the greatest joy in life.
Eternally loved Mom, Grandma, Little Grandma.
