

Lincoln received his early education in Memphis and graduated from North side High School before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in 1986, where he reached the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. While in the Marine Corps, Lincoln attended the following courses; Combat Marksmen Course, Combat Marksmen Instructors Course, Communications Systems Chief Course, Communication Chief Course and the Landing Force Ground Combat Element Course. Lincoln’s primary specialties were Communications Center Operator, Communications Center Chief, and Operational Communication Chief. Lincoln awards include Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Navy Unit Commendation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Letters of Appreciation, and Letters of Accommodation.
After Retiring from the United States Marine Corps, Lincoln began working as a Corrosion Service Tech for Camp Pendleton Base. On Monday, October 6, 2014, Lincoln Taylor walked away from this life into the Kingdom of God and his loving Savior’s arms. Lincoln was preceded in death by his parents, Percy Taylor Sr. and Barbara Gene Johnson Taylor, his brothers, Percy Taylor Jr. and Ronald Luis Taylor.
Lincoln Taylor’s life and memories are survived, cherished and loved by his two beautiful daughters from Karen Joseph whom are Leah June (Henry Jr.) and Justine Davis (Gertraven); his Love, Tiffany Coleman; two grandsons, Amir Bernal and Henry June III; one granddaughter, Aubren June; niece, Kendra Taylor; nephews, Tarrius Taylor and Ronald Luis Taylor Jr. In addition, Lincoln is also survived by a host of other relatives, friends, and adopted brothers and sisters.
