Lois "Boo" Falconer
After a long and joyful life, Boo Falconer passed away on January 26, 2015 at the age of 90 years old. Her husband of 68 years, Robert Falconer, preceded her in death in August 2014.
Growing up on a farm in Macon, Illinois, Boo shared wonderful stories about her parents Margaret and John B. Tomlinson and her seven brothers and six sisters. After living for several years in Santa Maria, California and later in Orange County, Boo and Bob retired in Vista, California where she enjoyed golfing and bridge. Her unwavering faith and devotion to God was a daily part of her life. Boo was an active member of her parish church and volunteered at Tri-City Medical Center.
Miss Boo is survived by her loving daughters Connie Falconer, Carol Thomas (Robert), and Christy Haupt (Kevin), six beautiful grandchildren and eleven adorable great grandchildren. Her children admired her unconditional love and how she made their childhood very happy and memorable . With an outgoing personality, warmth, kindness, beautiful smile and infectious laugh, Boo will be missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the excellent caregivers at Tele-Bridge Medical and acknowledge the loving care with dignity provided by JoAnn and Elizabeth. In addition, we greatly appreciated the outstanding end -of- life care provided by Nurse Maggie of Hospice of the North Coast. A very special thank you to Father Mike Ratajczak, Father Karl Bauer and Deacon John Fredette for their spiritual comfort and blessings.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1450 South Melrose Drive, Oceanside, California. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Thomas More Mortgage/Building Completion Fund or Tri-City Hospital Auxiliary.
