Lucille Mayer passed away on Friday afternoon, October 22, 2010 at home while holding her daughter’s hand and listening to her favorite music.
Born in 1926 in Whittier, California, Lucille began her life in a family engaged in education, music and the church community. Lucille continued that legacy throughout her life.
Lucille earned a Bachelor of Music from Westminster Choir College and a Master of Music Degree from North Texas State College. Her musicianship has graced many churches in San Diego, Riverside and New Jersey in roles as a soprano soloist as well as director of adult, children and handbell choirs.

Lucille worked as a Realtor from 1984 – 2005. Her claim to fame amongst colleagues was her passionate working up to the age of 79.
Lucille was married 30 sweet years to John C. Mayer, who passed away in 1983. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Mayer, daughter Kim and her husband Gary Bedrosian, son Mark and his wife Linda and son Scott Mayer as well as her grandchildren Ryan, Kyle and Justin Bedrosian, John and Lizabeth Mayer.
