

Eva Arranaga was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico on March 27, 1927. The daughter of Fermin Hermosillo and Maria Villaverde de Hermosillo. She was raised in Torreon, Coahuila Mexico and is one of 10 children.
She met her husband of 63 years, Eliseo (now deceased), through her brother Rogelio Hermosillo while vacationing in Los Angeles, Ca.
They corresponded through mail for less than a year, when Eliseo decided to ask for her hand in marriage. They were married in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico on January 31, 1948.
Eva was a homemaker, and also was the President of Madrinas de Santa Marta and helped to raise funds for this organization. Eva's many hobbies included sewing, singing, traveling, visiting all of her extended family members throughout Mexico, as well with all her siblings, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She enjoyed socializing with many of her close friends.
Eva is survived by her 4 children: Elizabeth (Roger son-in-law), Thomas (Edith daughter-in-law), Olympia (Patrick son-in-law) and Marcia; 3 grandchildren; Michelle, Andrea and Sean; 2 great-grandchildren Haley and Aidan.
Eva's goal was to keep the ENTIRE family together, immediate, and extended families.
Eva passed away peacefully in her own home on January 6, 2014 surrounded by her close family and trusted caregiver of 7 years, "JM".
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 1:30pm at Mission San Luis Rey (Old Mission) in Oceanside, California.
Ms. Arranaga's final resting place will be Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, California.
