On April 27th at 6:15 AM, a loving and cherished soul, we knew as Marjorie Ann Mosler left our earthly plane for paradise, after her courageous battle with cancer. All of us who knew her were truly blessed and will miss her deeply. Marjorie was born in Warrensburg, MO on May 21, 1926, one of five children, born to Stephen and Etta Lipscomb. Years after her father’s passing Etta moved the family to Los Angeles. In 1944, Marjorie met and married career Army Officer Edward L. Mosler (CWO-W3). Her memories of moving a family from Germany, to Japan and across the U.S. often included the phrase, ‘Hurry up and wait!” After Edward’s passing with seven children to raise, she returned to school and received her BA and MA in Education from Cal Poly, Pomona. Marjorie spent her teaching career at San Dimas High School teaching Business.
Marjorie enjoyed her time in her church, Community of Christ, and social clubs through the years including, Kappa Kappa IOTA, a professional organization for educators and most recently the San Marcos Red Hat Ladybugs. She was an avid reader and indulged in watching her daily soaps, but family was Marjorie’s true and greatest joy. Along with her seven children, she was also blessed to have 21 Grandchildren and 29 Great-Grandchildren to love.
Her passing is preceded by her husband Edward L. Mosler, her parents Stephen and Etta Lipscomb, her brother Stephen Lipscomb, and her sister Ora Lee Rice. She is lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses, Edward A. Mosler of La Mesa, CA, Patricia Ruby of Vinton, IA, Beverley and Paul Corkery of Dysart, IA, Terry and Carmen Mosler of Stafford, VA, Stephen and Aida Mosler of Wylie, TX, Cynthia and Roger Baker of Phelan, CA and Sandra and David Barker of San Marcos, CA.
