Marvin “Bud” William Agnew Jr., 86 years old, of Oceanside, CA, passed away on January 16, 2022. He passed away peacefully due to complications of COVID-19. Bud was born in Georgia to Marvin and Louise Agnew. Bud was a deep sea diver in the US Navy and served in the Korean War. In his twenties, he met Carolyn Riley. They fell in love and were about to celebrate their 67th year of marriage in February. Within two years of marriage, they started a family, complete with three children (Brian, Rebecca and Julia), four grandchildren (Brittany, Kylie, Camille and Ben) and two great-grandchildren (Katelyn and Jack). As a family, they enjoyed spending time on their boat, vacationing in Hawaii and attending family gatherings. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Bud and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. In addition to his loving wife, Carolyn, Bud is survived by his son, Brian Agnew and wife Debbie, daughters Rebecca Bassett and husband Aaron, Julia Redfield and husband David, Bud’s sister Marlene Paine and her family and his grandchildren and their families A celebration of Bud’s life will be held on April 18, 2022 as an intimate family ceremony at sea with Military honors.
