

Mary is survived by George Edward Otott Sr., her husband of 63 years, her brother Charles Edward Arnett, of Westport, Connecticut; sister Hazel Doloris Mohns, of Germantown, Wisconsin; sister Dorothy Ann Wolfe, of Elkhart, Indiana; and sister Janet Elaine Wappenstein (Dick), of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Wyatt Arnett, Osceola, Indiana.
Mary is survived by her children, Cheryl Marie Michels (Steve), of Salt Lake City, Utah; George Edward Otott Jr. (Denise), of Irvine, California; son David Alan Otott of Sydney, Australia; daughter Denise Ann Comiskey (Jim), of McKinleyville, California; and son John Michael Otott, (Julie), Trabuco Canyon, California. She is also survived by grandchildren Jason Michels, Salt Lake City, Utah; Laura Michels, Lake Forrest Park, Washington; Travis Otott, Aliso Viejo, California; Jennifer Leigh Otott Hirsch (Dan), Waterville, Maine; and Isabella and Ian Otott, Trabuco Canyon, California; and great-granddaughter Audrey Michels, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mary was born on October 9, 1929, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Grover Arnett and Stella Harrison. She graduated from Mishawaka High School, Mishawaka, Indiana, in 1945. She and George were married at Sacred Heart Church, Notre Dame, Indiana, in 1951. The couple bore their five children in California, Virginia, and South Carolina.
Mary was a quiet, generous woman, and devoted wife and mother, who raised five children while traveling the U.S. during George’s career with the U.S. Marine Corps. Later in life they traveled the world during George’s career with Universal Gym and Life Fitness. Mary and George were devout members of the Roman Catholic Church.
A funeral is scheduled for 1:00 PM at Eternal Hills Cemetery at 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California. Deacon Lew of St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Oceanside, California, will officiate.
