She is survived by her son, Dennis Welch, son, Ronald Welch, five grandchildren, five great-granchildren, relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:00 am at Rose Hills Memorial Park (Rainbow Chapel in Whittier, California.

The deer at sunset move
between falling shade, in
hills where the shortgrass blazes into
the golden weaves of late summer;
here, at your favorite hour, I am full of wonder at
where you are, and you are here
with the image of the deer rushing
through me, like a sudden scent of
fig and peach,
touched by light through bare trees;
and you, in pink, fuchsia lipped, a scarf
around the collar, are pointing
to the small doe,
whose eyes make hurried lamps,
seeking wild berries.
