Michael grew up in Greenville, PA, a top student who,went on to earn his masters degree in Industrial Engineering at the esteemed Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Michael, who was a lover of life and adventure eventually settled on California life where he loved the weather the ocean and mountains; all perfect for his favorite hobbies of snowboarding, biking, motorcycling, hockey, and fishing. But the call of those adventures couldn't replace the desire for the stability and love he found in marriage to his adoring wife Mariana and the joy of fatherhood to Sophia and Emily-his greatest legacies.
He is survived by his wife Mariana, daughters Sophia and Emily, his father Oscar Silva and step-mother Irma, sister Rebecca Courduvelis (John), nieces and nephews Ava, Aidan, and Christian, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins and a family of friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Jacqueline (Huttner).
