Olympia was a wonderful person, Wife and Mother. I had always told her that she was the greatest Mom a Son could ever have. She worked tirelessly to help Sean overcome any obstacles that faced him. Whenever she encountered roadblocks, she never gave up and never left any stone unturned.
She was an amazing person that always put her family and friends ahead of everything else. When her parents were growing old, Olympia played a pivotal role in making sure her parents were taken care of and ensuring they had a great quality of life. Family was the most important thing to her (until she discovered the jewelry mart) – she loved being surrounded by her family and extended family. She cared deeply about every single one of you.
To all of you who know Olympia as a friend – you know she was fiercely loyal. She was very caring and understanding and always available to lend an ear to anyone in need. Whenever you were around her, she was often the life of the party - her laugh was infectious.
Something special about Olympia that everyone here may not know is that she was very artistic. Olympia attended the Los Angeles Fashion Institute right after high school and developed her finesse and the knack of designing her style, clothing and accessories. In addition to her great fashion sense, she loved creating art with stained glass and playing the piano. She was very talented.
Olympia and I met 30 years ago walking down to the Employee's lunchroom while working at Delta Airlines. Since our first date we never left each other's side. I can't tell you how much she will be missed. She was truly my Soul mate ever knowing what I was going to do or say at any given moment, but always gave you the time to express yourself or your feelings.
During her sickness, she was truly a warrior. Her doctors even called her the poster child because she was so strong and determined – she had such dignity and grace about her throughout this journey. I know that she is with her loved ones in heaven and that she is pain free. It was my privilege to care for her during her sickness, good and bad days. Being married to her for 27 years you get to know each other well. During her sickness we were together almost 24/7. There was no subject that we didn't talk about during her last year. My love for her grew more during this time in our lives. It is truly a great loss to Family and Friends. She will be very missed.
Love to all,
Patrick and Sean
