Patricia Louise Durksen

Patricia Louise Durksen, 78 years of Escondido, CA suddenly passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at her home at Meadowbrook Village Retirement Community in Escondido, California. Born on December 14, 1945, in Pennsylvania. She was the wife of Charles Durksen for 40 years.

Patricia is survived by her husband Charles Durksen; stepchildren, Eric Durksen and Bruce Durksen and children Robin Knox, and Todd Thompson. She was proceeded in death by her stepson Bryan Durksen and parents Thelma and George Hull.

Pat was an exemplary mother, grandmother, and human being. She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; Adam, Jessica, Derek, Vanessa, Victoria, Taylor, Alsatia, TJ, Alec, Nick (grandchildren) and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pat worked her early years in PA as a Beautician at the London Shoppe and when moved to northern California she worked as a property manager. She finally settled into a career as an inside sales representative for several electronic component companies in the Bay Area before retiring at the age of 55 in her home with Chuck in San Jose where they lived for 40 years before moving to Southern California. Pat had an immense passion for her family and traveling through Nevada with her husband Chuck roaming through old towns and collecting relics from the early 1800’s to 1900’s.

Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply.
