

Penelope (Penny) Honore Huber passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024. She was 82. Born on August 19, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Penny was the beloved daughter of Raymond and Esther (nee Casey) Huber. Penny put up a brave fight battling pancreatic cancer. We are grateful for the time we had with her.
Penny is survived by her family: sister Susan Kent, brother Timothy (Kathy) Huber, niece Cathy (Jim) Landman, nephew Andrew (Therese) Kent, niece Beth (Kevin) McMeen, nephew Brady Huber and nephew Michael Huber. She also leaves behind nine grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bennie (Ben) Weeks, her beloved aunt and uncle Helen and Warren Otting and brother-in-law Don Kent.
Penny’s life journey took her from Wisconsin to California, where she settled in Oceanside in 1979. Despite moving across the country, she remained a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.
Penny held on to her Catholic faith throughout her life. While she was able, Penny was active at the Mission San Luis Rey parish. Penny was an energetic and determined woman. Penny will be remembered as feisty yet caring. She was a loyal friend. Penny shared many good times with family and friends and will be missed.
A Funeral Mass for Penny will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Chapel of Mission San Luis Rey, 4070 Mission Ave, Oceanside, CA 92057.
