Thanks for the many, many laughs during our Faust and Becton years.  Thinking of your impersonation of my Mom's heavily accented English still makes me laugh to this day.  More importantly, I remember you as a person who never short-changed yourself.  Your no-nonsense attitude and fairness to others did not go unnoticed.  Even though I had not seen you in over 14 years, it's needless to say that it was not surprising to see you as a Gunnery Sergeant of Marines.  And as evidenced by the numerous heartfelt responses of your fellow Marines, you have left an indelible mark on our Nation's finest in a time when we most needed it.  Your tremendous legacy will live on in the lives you have touched.  

I wish Diana and your family all the strength and support to get through this difficult time.

You have certainly made a tremendous impact on our lives as individuals and as a family. We have been so blessed to have had you and Diana as such huge parts of us for so long. We have so many memories to share with Jake and Savanna as they get older. So many late nights playing cards, road trips to WV and NY as well as countless fishing trips. We have always enjoyed your friendship and companionship, thank you! Memories are forever, you will always be with us and Diana will always be Jakes Diana. God bless and Semper Fi!

 I still cannot believe you are gone, since I hadn't seen you in so long it kinda just feels like you arent around cause you're busy with work or your family. I really wish that was the case. 
I am greatful that we were able to reconnect and catch up over the past year and that I got to know your lovely wife. I am so happy that she made you so happy and that you have done so well in your career, though I would expect nothing less. I will think about you often and remember you always. You will be so greatly missed by me but will live on in all of our hearts and memories. 
My deepest sympathy goes out to Diana, your parents, sisters, family, Marines and friends.

I Love You.  I will always love you.  I know I am the person I am today because of you.  You humbled me, taught me patience and tolerance and most of all kindness and generosity.  We fought with each other, laughed with one another, poked one another, loved each other and lived life to the fullest together.  

We worked so very well together.  Our lives intertwining when needed yet room enough to still have unique individuality.  We were strong enough to stand on our own, but still dependent and completely supportive of one another.  

I am thankful for every moment we were able to share and will cherish every memory.  I will never forget and forever miss the way you smiled, how you looked at me, the sound of your voice, the feel of your touch, your smell after a long day at work, your shoulder I leaned on for comfort, your confidence in me and your ability to always assure me everything would be okay.

I will never say good-bye because you will be forever with me.

The first time I met you, you showed me “your” baby picture. Your sense of humor and obvious love for Diana won me and the family over in a matter of moments. You were an honorable Marine, a husband and a comedian. You became family…you fixed our cars, went on family outings and even learned Mahjong. I could not have asked for a better partner for Diana. You always made me proud to be your sister in law, even when you played the joke on me. 
I remember all of the “next times”. The next time you would beat me at monopoly, the next time you would stay longer on visit, the next time you would fix something. There are too many “next times” in life. I know it’s an odd thing to say, but thank you…I now know that there might now always be a next time and I will do my best to eliminate that phrase from my vocabulary. 
Your commitment to laughter, loyalty and honor will always be remembered.

Rest in Peace BJ. My deepest sympathy goes out to your Family. I have fond memories of you in Elementary School, always making me laugh. Although it has been years since we spoke you will live on with the stories we will share about you. Thank you for serving and protecting us ~ until we meet again.

  America has lost one of her greatest sons, The Marine Corps has lost one of it's greatest Staff NCO's, Motor T has lost one of it's greatest tools, Many of us have lost the greatest friend, and the Ocean Breeze has lost it's greatest poker player. A friend, peer, mentor and hero. You will be missed.

RIP B.J. I will always remember the sweet and funny boy you were and I am grateful for this past year to have gotten to know the wonderful man you turned into.  You always made me laugh past and present. I will always think of Foods class in H.S and all the memories and in present day I will remember listening to your stories of overseas, poker games, and antics. I only wish we could have caught up more in California.  My sympathies to your wife & your family, who like so many will miss you.

To my friend and fellow Marine, Rob... I will never forget you. When we were Sgt's we often traded supplies and vehicles in Camp Pendleton. I could always count on you when I needed a fork lift, and you could always count on me when you needed a HMMWV. We always had something to talk about after Monday Night Raw. We rose through the ranks together and always knew that a friend was just a phone call away. Semper Fi my friend!!!!

Favorite BJ moment: After singing my rendition of "Hey Big Spender" on a windowsill at an Italian hotel (as I normally do) I jumped onto one of the beds and it collapsed and the leg broke. Like a true hero BJ and someone I don't remember swapped another bed from another room. Super Stealth like. and no one ever found out. RIP BJ. Make sure they let me in when I get there.

It was just the other day it seems I chatted with you on facebook. I will forever remember you and our great times with the MEU and the tuk tuk rides. You taught me a thing or two about being a Marine and my own job. I am forever grateful. The Corps and world has lost a phenomenal person. You will be dearly missed, take care and rest easy my friend.

Brother I remember the times on the the boat and all the laughs we shared. You are truly one of the good ones. R.I.P. my friend I have the watch and will see you again soon.

Brother, you will be missed in the Marines and in life. Very few times does someone come around that impacts your life in a very short time the way you and Diana have. You were a true friend and you will be missed. Just be careful playing poker up in heaven I don't know how well they will take to you trying to BLUFF every pot your in. I think they call that lying so be careful and let the big guy win once and a while. Semper Fi and Go Bless.

Rob...thank you for being a good friend. I will always remember you from our time on the BHR. You kept me company while searching bookstores throughout Singapore looking for Patricia Cornwell novels, and you fixed my autoclaves, just like Jared and Sean said you would. You are a true friend, and I will see you on the other side

I remember when Robert was driving a bunch of us to a family member's wedding when he began a speech about where your side-view mirrors should be pointing and why... "I don't need to know where I am, I know where I am, I want to know where they are". To this day I remember his words of wisdom every time I have to adjust my side-view mirrors. Thanks for the advice, Robert - you will be missed.

Gunny, you were always a friend to all, assured others were taken care of before you to include family, Marines, and even a lone Sailor now and then. I will always remember the day you came in my office at Folsom after you tried to catch that cat. Yes, we all had a laugh, but felt your pain as much as we saw it. We will always remember the good times and never forget a true friend to all that we have lost way to early. Miss you ... DOC

All the support, encouragement & compassion you have given me got me through some pretty intense moments! Even when you would just accidentally "bump" into me on your way in/out of the grill would brighten my day! You have no idea how much you have touched me. You will be missed by many! Gunny I remember the moment You picked up Gunnery Sergeant, you were the happiest I had ever seen you... I was so saddened to learn of your passing. I remember you as such a nice, funny, young teenager on our trip to Italy. You really made the trip a lot of fun despite all the things that were going wrong. I wish I had seen you in recent years to see the man you had become, but looking at your wall it was evident that you became the best, a U.S. Marine. I will miss you my friend. I'm so profoundly saddened for this loss. I will have many memories from our trips to Atlantic City and of course playing Cranium with you and Diana. My heart broke in two when I heard this news. I've known BJ before he was born and was so excited to see 'who' those little people were in his Mom's belly. BJ brought joy to me his whole life - just following him as he lived life to the fullest. I'm closer to Brenda because BJ was always 'doing, going, coming from' etc. Facebook allowed me to follow him and Diana ...these past few years and I've always been so proud of him and Brenda. You are in God's hands now and will be missed.

You graduated HPB and you were always my favorite. We went through Italy together in '94 and you made us laugh every day and every night. We didn't sleep much but who really cared. You brought everything that life should be with you all the time. You knew how to have fun and you taught everyone around you the same. We... got on a plane to Cali and were blessed to see you married to Diana. You came home to NJ and thought enough of us to come and visit. We love you as parents love their child. I'm crying now. There are so many stories and memories I have from knowing BJ, from football since 3rd grade all the way through high school, and even when he started his journey with the Marine Corps. BJ & I were friends so many years ago and although the years have passed, I always remember him making me laugh.  He was always the guy to make anyone smile and was always nice to everyone, even if it wasn't "cool" to be nice to them!  He had a heart of gold.  I don't know if he ever knew how many people's lives he touched throughout the years.  I am blessed to have known him!

I knew BJ from the day he was born. Although I moved away, I would visit Jersey often and always stopped by the Hudnall House. BJ was seldom there because he was out, going someplace, doing something with friends, or on his way home from some adventure. Always on the move. Through the years I have been following him through his Mom and lately, Facebook. BJ has made such a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. He will live on in our hearts forever. I am blessed to have known him.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Hudnall family.  I have allot of great memories of BJ. He was a dedicated friend and Marine and will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to cross paths with him.  God Bless Robert and may he rest in peace.

Always remember that Robert lead a fulfilling life. He strived to make a difference, everyday. Friends, family and loved ones were a number one priority. You will be missed Robert! Not one day will go by without you in our thoughts and prayers. May you rest in peace.

I grew up in East Rutherford and was a grade ahead of BJ. I had a lot of classes with him in HS and we shared a lot of laughs- especially 3rd period Physics! My husband played football with him as well and remembers him being such "a good kid". He was so much fun to be around. I am so happy that I had the chance to reconnect with him via Facebook.We want to express our sincerest condolences to you Diana and to the rest of his family. He will be missed!

You don't remember me, but I remember when you and Brenda used to come into the library in East Rutherford when I was working in the children's room.  I guess you guys were in about 4th or 5th grade.  You were both so adorable and nice, and you had a fantastic smile.  Your face has been etched in my memory ever since, and when I heard what happened, I was heartbroken, for your family, friends, and brothers in arms.  You are missed by many, and you touch many more than you knew, even as a kid.
