Tuan Minh Dang

Tuan (Michael) Minh Dang passed away in San Diego, CA at the age of 63 on October 19, 2023. He was born in Quy Nhon, Vietnam to Hy Thanh Dang and Lieu Thi Nguyen, and is survived by his wife, Amie Phan, and his three children: Bryant, Eric, and Olivia Dang.

Tuan was the epitome of a hard-working father, devoted husband, and loving friend. After immigrating from Vietnam by boat in the early 80's, he attended and graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. As the first person in his family to graduate from college, he passed on the importance of life-long learning and the pursuit of higher education to his children.

In his spare time, Tuan enjoyed a myriad of interests and hobbies. He routinely cared for his beautiful garden, which included various succulents, dragonfruit, avocados, and vegetables. He enjoyed many sports, but was particularly an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. When time and the seasons allowed, he also enjoyed fishing and traveling on cruises, his favorite being the Viking River Cruise across Europe. He loved spending time with friends and family, especially during the holidays.

A viewing for friends and loved ones to pay their final respects and honor Tuan's life will be held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, CA on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 between 6-8 PM.
