She was born in Everett, Washington on March 24, 1928. Verba graduated from Everett High School.
She married to Raymond A. Owens on September 21, 1946.
Verba was a homemaker. She had a passion for painting, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by Raymond A. Owens and Laney Clarke.
She is survived by Christine D. Owens, Michael R. Owens, Marie A. Owens, Wendy Rosser, Melanie Heisck, Raymond Owens, Lori Risch, Beverly Bridges, Richard Mizell, Bill Mizell, Bette Lowell, Don Chunn, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral Arrangements will be held at 11:00 am March 2, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church in Oceanside, California.
