

Warren DeWayne Hennie entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 19, 2014. He was born on January 10, 1943 in Sherman, Texas to the late General Webster and Nellie Gray Hennie. He graduated from Fred Douglass High School in 1961 where he was known to his classmates as “Lump”.
On July 31, 1961 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he faithfully served his country for 27 years. During his time in the service he also attended Chapman College until 1972. After retirement from the Marine Corps he continued to work on the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton as a Shipping Manager for an additional 17 years.
Warren raised his children in Oceanside, California before moving to Murrieta, CA where he resided until his death. While living in Oceanside he actively belonged to the Investment Club of Oceanside. He was a lifelong member of Harmony Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas where he was baptized as a child.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 34 years Charlotte and his second wife of 10 years Teresita; his parents General and Nellie and his siblings Sylvia Fields, Bobby Johnson and General Webster Hennie Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children Kevin (June) Hennie, LaTina Goode, Travis (Beranda) Hennie, Ingrid Burgess; his only surviving sibling Charles (Teresa) Anderson; his nieces Gracie Anderson, Nelda Sanchez, Malinda McKee-Hennie, Carol Anderson, Donna Anderson, Rosalind Tarkington and Claudia Stewart; his nephews Donnie Fields, Ronnie Fields, Kenneth Anderson, Lamont Fields, Leonard Anderson, Charles Anderson Jr. and Calvin Anderson; 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and a host of In-Laws, relatives and friends.
Viewing and funeral services will be held at the Eternal Hills Memorial Park Mortuary and Cemetery 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054. Viewing will be on Thursday July 31st from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday August 1st at 10:00a.m. Repast reception will also be held on Friday, August 1st from 12:30-5:00pm at the El Camino Country Club 3202 Vista Way, Oceanside, CA 92056
Arrangements are under the direction of Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary, and Crematory, Oceanside, California.
