

Funeral services for Arlen “Hank” Donnelly age 71 of Jay Street in Ogdensburg, will be held on Friday (August 12, 2011) at 2:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Longbottom officiating. Entombment will follow at Foxwood Memorial Park.
Calling hours will also be held on Friday from 12:00noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Hank died early Tuesday morning at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center after being stricken at home.
Surviving are his children Patrick Donnelly of Ilion, NY, Roger Donnelly of Wisconsin, Robin Donnelly of Albany; son-in-law Carl Clary and grandson Colin Clary of Ogdensburg; sisters Mary LaRock of Ogdensburg, Marjorie Howes & her husband Raymond of Heuvelton, Nettie Palmer of Rensselaer Falls, Cassie Donnelly of Hammond, Wanda McGaw & her husband Ronald of Ogdensburg, Nancy Shattuck & her husband Art of Heuvelton; a brother David Donnelly & his wife Anne of Ogdensburg; his companion Jean Clark of Ogdensburg and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife Linda, a daughter Kimberly Clary, a sister Ulla Donnelly in infancy and brothers Robert, Howard & Donald Donnelly.
Hank was born on March 10, 1940 in Dickinson’s Landing Ontario, a son of the late Percy & Eileen (Ogel) Donnelly. He moved to the United States in 1945, and attended schools in Flackville and Morristown. He married Linda Lou LaRock on May 25, 1963 and was employed at the Standard Shade Roller, McCadam Cheese and the St. Lawrence Seaway in his younger years. In 1966 he became a Machinist at the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company in Utica where he worked for 30 years. He retired in 1996.
He was a member of the International Association of Machinist Local 1509 Union and the Moose Lodge in Utica. He enjoyed working on small engines, painting cars, watching TV and going to the casino after his retirement. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart, Lung or Diabetes Associations.
