

Funeral services for Doris E. Aldrich, age 90 formerly of the Pray Road in Lisbon will be held on Thursday (Sept 15, 2016) at 11:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at the White Church Cemetery in Lisbon.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday (Sept 14th) from 2:00-6:00pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Aldrich passed away at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility on Sunday (Sept 11, 2016) surrounded by her loving family.
Surviving are two sons Harold Aldrich of Lisbon, Dale (Betty) Aldrich of Lisbon; three daughters Rita Baxter of Ogdensburg, Irene Perrin of Richville and Dorothy (Paul) Winters of Ogdensburg; two sisters Marjorie Logan of Ogdensburg, Elizabeth Ashley of Edwards; a brother George Ramsey of Brier Hill; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Her husband DeWitt; two sisters Eileen Sprowls and Evelyn Newton; five brothers Mayland, Edward, Walter, John & Percy Ramsey and a son-in-law Roger Perrin predeceased her.
Doris was born on April 10, 1926 in Morristown NY, a daughter of the late Cuthbert & Iva (Brooks) Ramsey. She attended Morristown High School and later married DeWitt G. Aldrich on December 30, 1946 at the 1st Congregation Church in Ogdensburg. She and DeWitt operated the family farm for many years while raising their children.
Doris was a member of the 1st Congregational Church in Lisbon and enjoyed baking, taking care of her children and grandchildren, shopping, traveling and gardening.
