Surviving is his wife and love of his life Erin Bennett; two sons Brock & Dustin Bennett Jr. of Ogdensburg which he loved very much; siblings which he shared a unique love and bond with, Corey (Sylvia) Addison of Ogdensburg, Michael Thorpe of Ogdensburg and Junior (Holly) Martin of Morley, Jamie (Randy) Briggs of Canton, Jeruesha Pike and her companion Matt McCarthy of Syracuse and Rikki (Adam) Drews of Oregon; nieces and nephews which he had a strong bond with, and loved wholeheartedly; and also cousins and many friends which he cared for like family.
He was predeceased by his mother Robin Bennett in 2015 and his sister Ashley Pike in 2018.
Dustin was born on January 15, 1987 in Baltimore Maryland, a son of Terry Simmons & Robin Bennett. He attended area schools for his education and later married Erin Gardner on November 11, 2017 in Ogdensburg.
During his career he worked at a family tree service business, Rent to Own and warehouses in Ogdensburg and Syracuse as a certified fork lift operator. He was a very hard working man from a young age.
His willingness to be kind and ready to help anyone, would earn him the reputation to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was an extremely book and street smart individual, with a personality and heart of gold. His bright personality would make others smile and laugh, and he certainly would go out of his way to cheer anyone up. He was a rough and tough guy, that was all heart at the end of the day.
Dustin enjoyed being outdoors, star gazing, fishing, four-wheeling, playing games, swimming, golfing and grilling. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan that couldn’t get enough of watching them play. His family was the most important to him, and cherished the time he spent with them.
