Francis H. Nugent

A celebration of life service for Francis H. Nugent, age 57 of Main Street in Ogdensburg will be held at a time to be announced. Fran died December 30, 2013 at the Fletcher Allen Healthcare Facility in Burlington, VT surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Surviving are is his wife Doris; two sons and their companions Joshua Nugent & JoAnna Saunders, Nicholas Nugent & Kirsty VanArnam; a daughter Jessica Nugent; a brother Alton Nugent & his companion Shirley Kendall; three sisters Christine McCarthy & her husband Kelly all of Ogdensburg, Cynthia Spears & her husband Douglas of Parishville and Cheri Nugent of North Carolina along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Fran was born on December 4, 1956 in Ogdensburg, NY a son of the late Francis H. & MaryEllen (Williams) Nugent. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1976 and continued his education at Mater Dei College. He then married Doris A. Powers in June of 1988 at the Canton United Methodist Church. During his career he worked for Anchor Motor Freight and Wal-Mart as a truck driver until becoming ill.
