

A celebration of life for Hugh “Tom” Huntley Jr., 75, of Ogdensburg will be held at the Moose Lodge on Pickering Street in Ogdensburg on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 5:00 pm. Tom passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 29, 2019 at his home.
Surviving is a son H. Thomas Huntley of Alabama, a daughter Tammy Sparks of Alabama, brothers John Huntley of Ogdensburg and Bobby Huntley of Massena, a sister Joan Huntley of Ogdensburg, grandchildren Daniel Sparks of Alabama and April Sparks Krause of Florida and three great grandchildren Alexis, Logan and Abel.
He was predeceased by a brother Ed Huntley, a sister Donna Miller, and son-in-law Dan Sparks. Hugh was born October 28, 1943 in Gouverneur, NY to the late Hugh T. and Audrey (Harper) Huntley. He attended Ogdensburg Free Academy then began working on an area farm, then went to work for Howard Armstrong and retired from Shade Roller after 33 years of service. He then went on to work as a custodian at the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority for 20 years where he was currently working.
He was a member of the Ogdensburg Moose 814, life member of the NRA, Gouverneur Black Powder Club, Waddington Fish and Game Club, Lisbon Sportsman’s Club, and a former Elks Lodge member. Tom enjoyed riding on his motorcycle, boating on the St. Lawrence, archery, shooting, hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with friends.
