Janet L. Beaulieu

Janet L. Beaulieu, age 61 of Ogdensburg passed away on Monday evening (Feb 20, 2017) at her home surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date to be announced.

Surviving is her husband George Beaulieu of Ogdensburg; her mother Barbara Sargent of Ogdensburg; step-mother Helen Smithers of Paris, IL; a son Jeffrey Spriggs & partner Paul Patterson of Austin TX; three daughters & 3 step daughters April (Bryan) Moore of Ogdensburg, Misty Spriggs & companion Jeffery Kelly of Ogdensburg, Shelby (Tommy) Wears of Farmville VA, Jennifer Beaulieu & companion Andrew Streeter, Tammy Beaulieu of Columbia SC and Christi (Alan) Mahipat of Tampa FL; two brothers Steven (Patty) Smithers of Ogdensburg, Vernon Smithers of Ogdensburg; three sisters Sandra (Fred) Carter of Ogdensburg, Susan (Dan) Jolly of Ogdensburg and Peggy (Rashid) Aidun of Potsdam; 15 grandchildren and many nieces nephews & cousins.

Her father Vernon Smithers predeceased her.

Janet was born on May 26, 1955 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of Vernon & Barbara (Rhodes) Smithers. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1973 and later married George Beaulieu on Sept 12, 1986 at the Ogdensburg Presbyterian Church.

During her career she was employed at Ames Department Store & Surprise Store prior to becoming a child care provider in her home. She enjoyed bowling, watching softball games and grandchildren’s High School sports, playing bingo and going to the casino with her friends Ann & Jim LaFave and Dale & Gizelle Wells. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
