Judy is survived by her children, Randy Reese of Ogdensburg, Barbara Austin of Ogdensburg, and Mary Jane “Missie” Burke of Heuvelton; her sister, Rose Mary Ross of Baldwinsville; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her siblings Beulah Trickey, Shirley Geddes, Marjorie Rheome, Bernard Trickey, and Daniel Trickey; and her half-brothers Harold, Eugene, and Richard Lawton.
Judy was born on December 22, 1944, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of the late Hiram and Grace (Holliday) Trickey. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and married Bernard Reese in 1962; the couple later divorced.
A familiar and friendly face throughout the Ogdensburg community, Judy spent over 20 years working as a bartender at several local establishments, including Kirby’s, Nig’s, Pastime, Clarkie’s, and Rosie’s. She also devoted time caring for elderly individuals through her domestic work, reflecting her compassionate and hardworking nature.
Judy found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing pool, riding horses, fishing, and soaking up the sun. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and happiness.
